The Story of Santa Tracy
Well, hello there, and welcome!
Let me tell you a little story—one that started long ago when I was just a wide-eyed child, sitting on Santa’s knee. I still remember the way he made me feel—warm, safe, and completely wrapped up in the magic of Christmas. He was a stranger, and yet, I felt nothing but kindness and generosity from him. That feeling stuck with me.
Fast forward a few years (okay, maybe more than a few), and one holiday season, my own Santa story began. Over 25 years ago, the company I worked for needed someone to play Santa at their holiday party. Lucky for them, I had the height, the build, and—though I didn’t fully realize it yet—the heart for the job.
So, I put on the big red suit, took a deep breath, and stepped into a room full of people. And then, with one deep “Ho Ho Ho,” something magical happened. A wave of children rushed toward me, their little hands grabbing mine as they pulled me to a chair. One by one, they climbed onto my knee, their faces lighting up as they whispered their Christmas wishes. I watched as their eyes scanned my face, searching for something—something real. And then, like the ringing of jingle bells, the magic moment came. Their faces broke into the biggest smiles, and they shouted, “It’s REALLY you!”
And with a twinkle in my eye, I grinned and said, “Of course it’s me!”
From that moment on, I knew. Being Santa wasn’t just about the suit or the beard—it was about the joy, the wonder, and the chance to bring a little Christmas magic to life.
Now, after more than two decades of “Ho Ho Ho-ing” my way through the holiday season, I can honestly say I have the best job in the world. I get to bring smiles, share laughter, and—if only for a moment—help people forget their troubles and simply believe.
